Vegan Smoked-Meat Sandwich

A plant-based take on a Montréal favorite — the famous smoked meat sandwich, made vegan with our smoked meat style tofu.

For 2 people

Ingredients 

  • 1 pack of EPIK Smoked Meat Style Tofu

  • 2 sandwich buns or deli-style bread rolls

  • Yellow mustard (to taste)

  • Pickles, sliced

  • Butter or oil of choice (optional, for grilling)

Preparation

  1. The smoked meat style tofu can be enjoyed cold straight from the package, but for a warmer sandwich you can heat it in a skillet over medium heat for 3–5 minutes until lightly browned.
  2. Slice the sandwich buns in half and warm them slightly  if desired.
  3. Spread mustard on both sides of the bread.
  4. Add the smoked tofu and top with sliced pickles.
  5. Close the sandwich and serve immediately.
